Privacy Policy

Vouchover captures the condition of a physical item or completed work at a moment in time and seals it into a shareable record called a Vouch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it. It is written plainly on purpose.
What we collect
- Your email address — to sign you in. We use a one-time code, not a password.
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist — we keep it to invite you. Nothing else.
- Your name and company — what you enter on your profile and what appears on the Vouches you create.
- Photos and videos — the media you capture for a Vouch. This is the core of the product.
- Location — if you allow it, the location where a Vouch is captured becomes part of that Vouch's sealed record. You can decline, or type a location instead.
- A notification token — only if you turn on notifications, so we can tell you when your Vouch has sealed.
- Basic usage — when a Vouch you created is viewed, and which of your shared links brought each viewer. This is shown only to you, never to the people who view it.
Why we collect it
To run the product: to create, seal, store, and share your Vouches, to sign you in, to take payment for credits, and to notify you. That is all. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate, and only for that purpose: Supabase (database and media storage, hosted in Canada), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Google Firebase (notifications, if you turn them on). We share with them only what each needs to do its job. When you buy credits, your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see them or store them.
How your Vouches are shared
A sealed Vouch is shared by link. Anyone who has the link can open it — that is how a Vouch is meant to work. Share a Vouch link only with the people you intend to see it. Vouches that are not yet sealed are private and cannot be viewed by anyone but you.
Security and permanence
Your data is encrypted in transit. A sealed Vouch is immutable by design — it cannot be edited or altered after sealing, which is what makes it trustworthy. Media for unsealed Vouches is kept in private storage.
Your choices
You can edit your name and company any time. You can decline location and notifications. You can ask us to delete your account and your data — note that a sealed Vouch can be deleted but, by design, never edited. To make any request, email us.
Children
Vouchover is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
